AccorHotels expands its upscale portfolio in Asia Pacific
The first of the region’s openings is Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara which launches this month, featuring 312 rooms in the heart of the Malaysian capital.
This will be followed by the 223-room Sofitel Singapore City Centre in September and the 317-room Pullman Shenyang, China in October.
October will also see the opening of the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, Australia; the Pullman Brisbane Airport, Australia and the relaunch of the Sofitel Wellington, New Zealand.
AccorHotels Asia Pacific chairman and CEO Michael Issenberg said the new developments build on last year’s momentum which saw AccorHotels add 86 hotels to the Asia Pacific network.
“We are committed to providing our customers with luxury accommodation in as many key locations as possible around the region,” he said.
“Asia Pacific is really leading the world in terms of luxury and upscale demand and these six hotels we are about to open are a strong signal of our intention to keep building on our luxury credentials and expand in this sector.”
