Aloft Perth introduces SPG Keyless for Starwood preferred Guest members
“The introduction of SPG Keyless is another example of our focus on continuing to elevate our hotel experience year-on-year for our tech savvy guests,” said general manager Stephen Morahan.
Enhancing and personalising its guests’ mobile experience is a focus for Marriott as more than half of smartphone owners use their devices for travel-related activities.
“SPG Keyless is incredibly popular with the U.S. and we have seen usage grow rapidly since its introduction. This is why we wanted to extend this convenient app feature to SPG members in Australia by introducing SPG Keyless at Aloft Perth,” said Irene Lin, vice president, digital, loyalty and portfolio marketing, Asia Pacific at Marriott International.
The new keyless feature is available exclusively for members who have downloaded the SPG mobile app and booked their stays directly with SPG on its website or in the app. To use SPG Keyless, members will need to register their phone through the SPG app. If an upcoming stay is eligible for SPG Keyless, members will get a push notification to opt to go keyless. Once the room is ready, the member will get another notification to view their room number and unlock the door.
