Canberra in the spotlight as its annual showcase begins
The three day program opened with a welcome lunch at the National Gallery of Australia, followed by tours of the National Portrait Gallery and the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House.
The Top Secret Showcase Dinner was held at the Australian War Memorial last night, with former Liberal leader Dr Brendan Nelson in attendence. This morning kicked off with breakfast at the National Arboretum while the final day includes breakfast at Pialligo Estate and helicopter flights over Canberra.
“We have here in Canberra the nation’s leading museums and galleries, our top ranked universities and access to decision makers,” said Canberra Convention Bureau CEO Michael Matthews.
“New vibrant food precincts, impressive accommodation and ease of travel join this exceptional mix. This is a city designed for meeting and collaboration with something new for everyone.”
