The Asian Animation Summit (AAS) and the CILECT Congress (The International Association of Film and Television Schools Congress) are coinciding with the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) today.

Brisbane Convention Bureau general manager Rob Nelson said both events would attract around 400 delegates and just over 200 would attend APSA as part of their conference experience.

“Along with APSA’s 100 international guests, this will create one of the largest gathering of international film practitioners ever seen in Australia – giving them an unprecedented opportunity to collaborate and network,” he said.

“AAS and the CILECT Congress are perfect examples of our increasing focus on attracting conferences and incentives that align with major events in Brisbane.”

The conferences are also being staged during the opening days of the Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival this week.
