NAB drops Flight Centre in favour of Amex Corporate Travel
The bank has now moved the majority of its travel business to Amex Corporate Travel, although some of its bookings are still going through Flight Centre.
The report by The Sydney Morning Herald says NAB was concerned about some fees being charged by Flight Centre and is currently looking over its contracts from the last two years.
Flight Centre has tried to make the best of a bad situation, with co-founder and chief executive Graham Turner saying the company had a “commercial disagreement with NAB that was quickly and fully resolved last year”, and that it still had “a good relationship with the bank commercially in travel and in banking”.
“We understand NAB made a commercial decision to switch some of its travel business,” Turner said. “Clients do move from time to time and for any number of reasons.”
