Young exhibition industry leaders urged to apply for UFI Next Generation Leadership Grant
The UFI Next Generation Leadership (NGL) Grant rewards “up and coming” professionals who are driving change and innovation in the exhibition industry.
EEAA chief executive Joyce DiMascio said the UFI NGL Grant is a great opportunity for young leaders, or people with less than 10 years’ experience in the industry, in the region to present their credentials on the world stage.
“This is an opportunity to learn from executive level mentoring, network with other international professionals and advance your career in exhibitions and events,” she said.
“At the EEAA 2017 Conference we were delighted to have on stage four nominees of the 2017 Richard Geddes Young Achiever Award who discussed how they would tackle the changes, the opportunities and future prospects of exhibitions.
“The UFI NGL Grant is a great opportunity for our talented young leaders to take their ideas and knowledge to the world stage and be part of a multicultural team steering the future direction of our industry.”
The UFI NGL Grant is open to those who work full-time in the exhibition industry and will run over a period of 12 months, starting in May, to allow recipients to fulfil their current daily work obligations.
“The grant will be awarded to up to five industry professionals in 2018 and it would be very exciting to have someone from our region recognised on the global stage,” she added.
The grant program will kick off with a workshop at the UFI European Conference in Verona, Italy on May 2-4, 2018. Recipients of the grant will be required to work remotely together throughout the year in the lead up to presenting in a session at UFI Global Congress in St. Petersburg on 31 October 31 to November 3, 2018.
Applications close on February 27, 2018. For more information head here.
