Hyatt Regency Perth is looking for an enthusiastic Executive to join its Sales & Marketing Team.
The primary focus of this position is to assist clients with function bookings, ensuring maximum satisfaction and smooth running of events, conferences and other functions.
Other tasks include in depth knowledge of the market place and industry and proactively attending networking functions to build a profile for the hotel, as well as working in close partnership with our Sales & Marketing and Banquet Service teams.
Essential criteria for the role are:
- Prior experience in a similar role or banqueting management experience.
- The ability to handle an entire group and catering event from arrival, departure, review and cross-sell.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with external and internal clients.
- Provide operational Department Heads with timely and accurate group and event information to enable effective delivery of events and groups.
- Proven ability to direct sell.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- High level of personal presentation.
Ideally, you will have a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management.

Catering Sales Manager Hyatt Regency Perth
This position is based at the prestigious Royal Perth Yacht Club, where Hyatt manages the Food & Beverage operation. The venue caters primarily for its members who hold functions, weddings and other events.
As a Sales specialist, your main functions will be to coordinating and selling functions and to ensure the related revenue is maximised in the most profitable way in line with the agreed targets.
Main responsibilities include taking sales enquiries for Yacht Club function areas, preparing quotes within a 24 hour turnaround, following up with clients to convert quotes to confirmed bookings, and liaising with Manager/Teamleaders to ensure smooth running of events.
