After three years of planning, I am proud to say Australia’s premier integrated convention, exhibition and entertainment precinct has opened its doors.
Our very first business event saw us amaze over 8000 Amway China delegates over 13 days, with a bespoke series of functions that utilised the venue’s diverse range of flexible spaces to provide a world class experience.
ICC Sydney will continue to deliver a paradigm shift in the way business events are enjoyed, and we are already looking forward to hosting some of the biggest events in the industry, including the esteemed Reed Gift Fairs, the Australian Tourism Exchange, the International Association of Restructuring Insolvency Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL) World Quadrennial Congress, the Green Cities Conference, the Innovation and Excellence Awards, the OpenStack Summit and Pathology Update 2017.
ICC Sydney has been built from the ground up, specifically designed to cater to the changing architecture of meetings and events.
Home to 70 meeting rooms, three tiered theatres that range from 1000 to 8000 seats, Australia’s largest ballroom, a 5000sqm open air Event Deck, and 35,000sqm of internal exhibition space, ICC Sydney can host a plethora of concurrent events. We are even capable of holding three major conventions simultaneously – each with dedicated breakout and catering areas, and support teams.
Built on a 10Gbps optical fibre backbone, ICC Sydney is also one of the most technologically advanced venues in the Asia Pacific. This allows us to support the digital needs of today, and adapt for decades to come.
A high calibre, functional IT network is hardwired into every room, and the 955 access points also ensure there is consistent, high density wireless connectivity across the venue.
But it is not just the facilities that have received this level of design focus. Our industry-leading culinary philosophy, Feeding Your Performance, delivers ‘smart’ menus that fuel both body and mind to drive business event success. Dishes are high in protein and low in saturated fats to help boost alertness, helping
delegates to work more effectively.
ICC Sydney’s approach heroes premium local produce that is bursting with flavour, and we have partnered with artisanal regional farmers to create quintessential Sydney cuisine that showcases the best New South Wales has to offer.
At the heart of every dish are the principles of balance, quality, freshness and taste – the hallmarks of great food.
Our distinguished teams help us lift the bar in every aspect too, and it is the combined efforts of our 300 full time and 1500 casual staff that ensures the venue is truly world leading in all areas. Our most important asset is our people, who are responsible for delivering memorable experiences across the integrated precinct.
The overwhelming industry support we have received to date is phenomenal. As testament to our extraordinary offering, our team secured more than 500 events before launch, and we expect to be running 1000 annually by our third year of operation.
