KLCC celebrates Global Exhibitions Day 2017
To celebrate the occasion, KLCC senior chef de partie Mustaffa Kamal bin Othman crafted a handmade ice-carving.
KLCC deputy general manager John Burke said exhibitions are the backbone to centre’s calendar.
“We are honoured to participate in UFI, the Global Association for the Exhibition Industry’s #GED17 to celebrate the power of the exhibition industry and the positive impact it has on jobs, business, innovation and local investment, as well as the diverse career opportunities it creates,” he said.
“Last year we hosted 61 exhibitions with an attendance of over 1.2 million visitors. Long-standing exhibitions like BookFest, ARCHIDEX, OGA, FHM, Asia Water and Comic Fiesta continue to be the backbone of our yearly business calendar.”
Now in its second year, #GED17 aimed to highlight people and jobs in the exhibition industry, under the title “Think Global – Act Local”.
