Busan to host IMC20 on September 25 – 30 in 2022
The International Federation of Societies for Microscopy announced the decision after a voting made during the 19th International Microscopy Congress in Sydney last month.
Busan beat Cape Town, Maastricht, Portland and Madrid to secure the congress which is held every four years. Korea will be the second Asian country, after Japan, to host the IMC.
“This success is a fruitful result of our strong collaboration with the local community, academe, and the private sector,” In Sook Lee, director at the Korea Tourism Organization – Convention Team.
“Last year, Korea is the top meeting destination according to the Union of International Associations, and we are determined to promote Korea’s knowledge, expertise, and capability to attract more international conferences.”
