Menopause Congress to attract more than 2000 delegates to Melbourne in 2020
It is the largest gathering worldwide for specialists in the field of research and management of Menopause, with the four-day event being held at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 30 to May 3 in 2020.
The Congress is expected to attract over 2000 health care professionals and researchers from sectors including women’s health, psychology, ageing, aged care, epidemiology, menopause and oncology.
Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) partnered with Club Melbourne Ambassadors Professor Susan Davis, President-elect International Menopause Society and Researcher Monash University and Professor Gabor Kovacs, International Medical Director Monash IVF, to collaboratively bid to bring the event to Melbourne.
“Melbourne has an outstanding international medical research reputation,” said Karen Bolinger, MCB’s chief executive.
“The academic community is the backbone of our success. Conferences such as this foster knowledge exchange and partnership opportunities with global counterparts, building legacy opportunities that extend beyond the conference itself and reinforce Melbourne’s international profile.
“Melbourne Convention Bureau has worked on bringing the 17th World Congress of Menopause to Victoria for six years, and it has truly been a team effort.”
