GFIA in Focus event taps into one of Brisbane’s key industries
The GFIA in Focus event to promote sustainable food production demonstrates the Brisbane Convention Bureau’s continuing efforts to align major conventions with the city’s key industries.
Queensland grows one third of the nation’s produce, with the Greater Brisbane region playing a leading role.
“We are taking advantage of Brisbane’s position as the closest eastern seaboard capital city to Asia, which provides supply chain advantages within the food production industry,” said Lord Mayor Graham Quirk.
“Growing Brisbane’s food and agribusiness industry is part of the city’s strategy to boost our economy, which is why we want to attract industry leaders to our city.”
The event is tailored specifically towards manufacturers and suppliers in the food and agriculture sector looking to extend market position through direct communication with farmers, growers and distributors across the region.
