A.C.T.A welcomed as new way to cut out the middle man when sourcing celebrity talent
Developed by A.C.T.A (Associated Celebrity Talent App), the online talent booking platform has cut out the middle man allowing event organisers to connect directly with entertainment talent representatives.
“We are proud to have created an on demand, commercially disruptive and transformative solution,” said founder and CEO Harris Meitanis.
“A.C.T.A is not an agency of any kind. It is a solution invented through technological advancement to satisfy the on-demand requirements that we have evolved to embrace as a commercial society. Such demands have insisted on the elimination of friction through ease of use, the promotion of transparency and the promise of a better experience overall.”
A.C.T.A features a booking calendar with the ability to display real-time talent availability; instant messaging between clients and talent representatives through the platform; confidential in-app negotiations and contracting; and a transparent 10 percent client platform fee (placed above the talent’s fee and capped at $5000) per booking.
Sophie Monk says that A.C.T.A is going to make a huge difference to her professional life. “When you’re juggling multiple jobs and commitments, it’s really important to be on top of every detail,” she said. “A.C.T.A is definitely the solution that will help me do that,”
Those on the planning side have also welcomed the new platform, saying it will simplify the entire process of booking talent. Caleb Bush, managing director of George P. Johnson Australia, says sourcing talent has never been an easy process. “A.C.T.A is an ingenious invention that saves us time and money,” he said. “It’s the Uber of celebrity entertainment.”
Megan Peters, event director at International Productions, describes the app as “revolutionary”. “A.C.T.A solves so many of the issues I have had with booking celebrity talent over the years,” she said.
George Said, managing director of George Said Management, is also a fan of the new platform
“Over the years, I have witnessed countless problems in communication, due to the time that it takes for key information to filter through to the right person,” he said. “A.C.T.A’s instant updates and transparency are invaluable as they ensure everybody is on the same page.”
