Orange Wine Festival returns in October

Now in its 17th year, the 2016 Orange Wine Festival will see a record number of more than 90 satellite wine and food events hosted by local vineyards, cellar doors, wine bars, whiskey saloons, restaurants, cafes and tourism providers.

orange-wine-festivalSignature festival events include Orange Wine Show Tasting, showcasing wines from The Orange Wine Show; Orange Wine Show Masterclass hosted by local winemaker Will Rickard Bell; The Finest Drop; Wine Central; Wine and Food Night Market; The Vino Express and Wine in the Vines.

NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres said the Orange Wine Festival has been supported for the last five years by Destination NSW, via its Regional Flagship Events Program.

“Orange is gaining a significant reputation as one of the premier ‘cool climate’ regions in Australia,” he said. “The Orange Wine Festival is a vital platform for promoting the region in new national and international markets, and I encourage everyone to start planning their trip to Orange for this wonderful Regional Flagship event.”
