Antonio Codinach to take over from Nigel Gaunt at PCMA-ICESAP
Antonio Codinach joins PCMA-ICESAP this summer from Cegos Asia Pacific, saying he was very excited by the opportunities that PCMA-ICESAP has in the region.
“As the leading global provider of business event education, there’s a real sense of momentum and PCMA’s presence is growing fast throughout APAC,” he said.
PCMA-ICESAP also welcomes Patricia Cheong as associate director for development. She will work alongside Codinach and support the region by forging new brand partnerships with leading business events organisations. Her expertise in the conferences and events industry, especially in her previous role as general manager at Sphere Exhibits, will accelerate PCMA’s regional growth opportunities.
Alongside the new appointments, the association has outlined plans for its annual conference later in the year and its participation in the Singapore MICE Forum in the summer.
PCMA-ICESAP will be a strategic partner of SACEOS as it hosts the Singapore MICE Forum (SMF) on July 24-25 at the Victoria Theatre. PCMA-ICESAP will livestream two SMF sessions on July 24, with the Korea Tourism Organisation supporting this learning initiative. Complimentary registration for this online broadcast will open on June 26.
Later in the year, PCMA- ICESAP will host its Annual Conference in Bangkok in partnership with Accor Hotels and Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau. The conference will take place on November 7-9 at the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit and its theme will be Interaction with Intention.
“As the business events industry grows in stature across the globe, the rapid establishment of our brand in Asia reveals a keen interest for professional resources throughout the region,” said Michelle Crowley, vice president, Global Growth & Innovation, PCMA. “With the addition of new and talented team members we look forward to sharing our knowledge and experience with our business events colleagues here.”
