Victoria continues to attract top tech events with latest win
The relocation of Reimagination joins a growing list of Australia’s biggest and best tech events including C2, Cisco Live and the National iAwards being held in Melbourne.
Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will welcome over 900 of the nation’s tech leaders from industry, government and education who will share ideas and discuss solutions to some of the key technical and ethical questions of the digital age.
Minister for Innovation and the Digital Economy Philip Dalidakis said securing Reimagination was another coup for Victoria’s tech sector “and bolsters our position as Australia’s top tech city”.
“Reimagination brings together local and international tech leaders to answer questions posed by the rapid advancement of technologies such as artificial intelligence and connected devices,” he said.
Australian Computer Society CEO Andrew Johnson said Victoria was “a natural fit” for the event.
“We anticipate this year’s event will be our biggest yet thanks to the growth of high-tech industries in Victoria and we can’t wait to welcome delegates to a robust conversation about how we can build Australia’s digital future,” he said.
