TV WEEK Logies says goodbye to Melbourne and hello to the Gold Coast
The 2018 Logies will be hosted at the newly redeveloped The Star Gold Coast next July, under a landmark deal to bring the black-tie event to Queensland.
Guests will experience a newly renovated five-star hotel, refurbished event facilities, award-winning restaurants and bars, and a luxury suite hotel with rooftop restaurant, bar and infinity pool, which is expected to open within the next few months.
The Star Entertainment Group managing director Queensland Geoff Hogg said he was thrilled Queensland had secured the event.
“Next year’s TV WEEK Logies will showcase the transformation of the Gold Coast in recent years,” he said.
“As a city, we aren’t afraid to think outside the square and leverage our unique location and lifestyle.”
Hogg said the luxury suite hotel tower is likely to be a popular choice for Logies guests.
“It has been designed to offer Queensland’s most luxurious accommodation with spacious suites featuring only the finest finishes, and the very best in service,” he said.
“With sweeping views of the Gold Coast skyline and an indoor-outdoor design, the new rooftop restaurant and bar is sure to leave a lasting impression.”
