The Luxury Collection to open restored heritage hotel in Tasmania
Scheduled to open in 2018, the hotel will reside in repurposed heritage buildings in Parliament Square, part of a new urban development that aims to combine the city’s history with its contemporary culture.
The Luxury Collection global brand leader Mitzi Gaskins said Australia is an “extremely desirable destination” for the brand’s guests.
“Bringing the Luxury Collection to Australia marks a significant milestone for the brand, further cementing our leadership position in global hospitality, while providing our guests indigenous experiences that celebrate each individual locale,” said Gaskins.
The hotel will boast 128 guest rooms and suites with restored features, including original windows, floor boards and fireplaces, while an upscale restaurant, lobby lounge and whiskey bar will offer a variety of dining options.
