Uluru’s Ayers Rock Resort will host a line-up of major events in 2017, including an extended second season of Bruce Munro’s Field of Light.

Uluru hosts line-up of major events in 2017

The solar-powered light installation is now open until March 31 2018 due to popular demand.

Returning this year, the Tjungu Indigenous Cultural Festival will run from April 22 to 25 and will see Indigenous performers, sporting stars and artists gather for the third annual event.

Between April 22-28, yoga instructor Denby Sheather will return to host the Desert Dreaming Yoga Retreat, a week of yoga, meditation and cultural immersion.

Other festivities include the Uluru Camel Cup, where visitors can join locals on May 26 and 27 for an Aussie outback-style experience; the ACO Uluru Festival, a series of exclusive concerts by the Australian Chamber Orchestra between June 2-4; and the Australian Outback Marathon on July 29.

Later in the year, Ayers Rock Resort will also host the Uluru Wellness Retreat (September 8-14) and the Uluru Astronomy Weekend (October 20-22).
