Yarra Valley Wine and Food Festival to showcase region’s best produce
The state government is behind the new Yarra Valley Wine and Food Festival, with Minister for Tourism and Major Events John Eren and event organisers marking the launch with a grape stomp at Parliament earlier this week.
“There’s no place quite like the Yarra Valley for the fine food and wine so many of us enjoy. This is a great opportunity for the region to showcase its wonderful strengths,” said Eren.
“This won’t just be a stunning spectacle and a great day out, it’s a great opportunity for local businesses to welcome new visitors.”
Set on the lawns of the Rochford Winery and overlooking the hills of the Yarra Valley, the festival will give local traders and producers an opportunity to showcase their produce to up to 6000 visitors.
Running from April 1-2 2017, the event will also feature masterclasses live music and family-friendly entertainment.
